All are very known about Google algorithms. It has improved the ranking of the websites. Thus algorithm updates help to rank the websites on Google. These updates remove the spam content or websites from Google rank.

Following are some algorithms updates.

Panda updates.

Penguin updates:

Rankbrain Updates:

Rankbrain is a machine learning-based search engine algorithm, which was introduced by Google on 26 October 2015. It helps Google to process search results and provide a more applicable search result for users. For less than 15% of queries, the rank brain was used.

Mobile friendly Updates:

The mobile-friendly algorithm which is designed to give a boost to mobile-friendly pages in Google mobile search results. Mobile friendly algorithms introduced on April 21, 2015. If you are already mobile-friendly, then you will not be impacted by these updates. The Google mobile-friendly algorithm is check page by page so, it can take time for Google to access each page so, that’s why it took time to turn out.

Hummingbird Updates

Hummingbird Algorithm is announced by Google on September 26, 2013. But it had already existed about a month. A year existing to the release of the hummingbird, Google released its knowledge graph, not an actual graph but the set of SERP features designed to provide quick, accurate answers to user’s queries about people, places and things.

Possum

Google launched possum updates on September 1, 2016. The update delivers better, more diverse results based on the searcher’s location and the business address. The possum update is through several recent changes in Google’s local ranking filter. After Possum, Google returns a more accurate result depending on the physical location of the searcher and even to close variations.

Fred

Fred is the latest updates of Google who confirmed on March 8, 2017. Fred filter out low-quality search results whose sole purpose is generating advertisement and affiliate revenue. The affected sites show that the majority of them are content sites with low-quality articles on a wide variety of topics that appear to be created mostly to generate advertisement or affiliate revenue.
